Elkhorn Inspections serves all of Valley County and its neighboring communities, including Cascade, Donnelly, Lake Fork, McCall, New Meadows, Smith’s Ferry, Yellow Pine, Garden Valley, and beyond.

Residential – The use of cutting edge technology and an easy-to-read report format, coupled with our inspector’s robust construction and facilities management experience, provides our clients with actionable information ready to wield.

Commercial – Holding the distinguished Certified Facility Manager™ designation and having 20+ years of experience building, maintaining, and managing large scale commercial buildings, our founder is the premier commercial building inspector in the area.

Root Cause Analysis – Fixing a problem is one thing, but ensuring the problem won’t return is another.  Elkhorn Inspections can help determine what caused a problem to begin with, so you can make sure it doesn’t return.  Knowing what caused a failure can save you money and downtime in the future.

Recreational  – Having held both the Certified Pool Operator and Aquatic Facility Operator credentials, our founder has over ten years of experience operating and maintaining commercial and residential pools and spas.  He has also served as a municipal Director of Parks and Recreation.  This experience makes EHI the best choice to report on your aquatic and recreational facilities.

Radon and Mold – We use a continuous radon monitoring device, calibrated annually, to create a report which lists every air sample taken.  This testing method provides data that assists in determining what changes may have led to increasing or decreasing radon levels in the home, and leaves you with a trend for future reference.  For mold, we use EML P&K lab’s MoldReport™ which compares the indoor air mold count to the outdoor air mold count in graphical format.  If the indoor air samples show greater mold particles than the outdoor air, the home may have a problem that could require remediation.

Thermal Imaging – In the right hands, the use of thermal imaging technology can assist with determining if insulation is underperforming, and can also identify hidden moisture concentration.  Our inspector leverages nearly 20 years of experience using this technology in commercial and residential environments to do just that.

Aerial Inspections and Imagery – Our inspector is FAA licensed.  Aerial imagery is available upon request, and the use of a drone is standard on all properties where the roof is inaccessible or otherwise unsafe to walk.  Subject to limitations per federal law where applicable.
